Operated by DDRC, Bow Place Respite Home provides relief for both children and adults who:
- Have a developmental disability;
- Are non-ambulatory or require a significant level of personal care;
- Are medically stable;
- Require assistance to meet self-care needs; and
- Do not require one-to-one support.
Bow Place Respite Home Provides

Relief for parents, allowing them to take a holiday, respond to emergencies, or invest time in themselves;

An opportunity for guests with developmental disabilities to enhance their social skills, build friendships, and participate in recreational activities; and
- A focus on guests' emotional and physical care.
Guest Accommodations
Bow Place Respite Home can accommodate up to six individuals at one time and is staffed accordingly.
Guests may stay at Bow Place Repsite Home up to 12 weekends and 21 holidays within a one-year period (April 1 - March 31). With the exception of weekends and holidays, there is no limit to the amount of time spent at Bow Place Respite Home.
Drop-in accommodations are available Monday - Thursday between 9 a.m. - 9 p.m only. We request that you reserve your accommodations at least 24 hours in advance to ensure adequate staff coverage. Drop-in accommodations are not available on weekends or overnight.
We request that all guests' medication be sent in original containers or bubble packs with current labels stating the guest's name, name of medication, dosage amount and times.
All meals, linens, and towels are provided by Bow Place Respite Home. Guests should bring all other items they may need such as personal hygiene items, any specialty food requirements, comfort items, spending money, etc. Please ensure that all personal items are clearly marked with the guest's name.
