In-Home Support Services provides respite care for children and adults with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities and/or attention deficit disorder, who live in the Calgary Rocky View area.

• Respite care can offer an opportunity for parents to invest time in themselves - to take part in recreational and leisure activities, attend appointments, go shopping - you decide what you want to do with your time;

• Respite care can be booked on an occasional or regular basis. There is no limit to the amount of service that can be requested. Service is available 24 hours a day. Although we try to respond to last minute requests, In-Home Support Services is not intended as an emergency service; and

• Our qualified, pre-screened staff provide exceptional physical and emotional care in your home, or can accompany your child or family to leisure activities in your community. Our staff can follow existing programs in the home, but In-Home Support Services does not provide regular therapists. We create a safe, caring, and entertaining environment for your child.

Cost

There is a minimum two-hour billing charge. Time and a half will be charged for statutory holidays. The family rate applies if service involves looking after two or more children in the family.

$16.00 per hour - single child rate

$18.50 per hour - family rate

$ 8.25 per hour from 10:00 p.m. to 6 a.m. only if the staff is sleeping overnight.

All costs for transportation and outings are the responsibility of the family - please pay staff directly. If you have a contract with Children with Special Needs (CSN) you can request that we invoice them directly. Depending on the terms of your contract with CSN you may be billed the difference between the Single Child and Family rate.
