Being a young adult isn't always easy. The good news is that today's
world provides more job and education options
than ever before...the bad news is that
so many options can feel overwhelming and
leave us feeling confused about what we
want to do with our lives.
P.A.C.E. stands for Participation in Academics and Career Exploration and
is a school-to-work transition program. P.A.C.E.
provides part-time support to young adults
who have just finished high school and helps them find a suitable
job, or opportunities.
This Program Has Been Established to:
 |
Assists clients determining their career and/or academic interests; |
 |
Teach clients how to find the jobs they want and apply for them; |
 |
Support clients (if needed) while they are getting either paid or unpaid work experience; |
 |
Help clients find and access educational courses in the community; and |
 |
Supports clients to set up a study schedule. |
DDRC has been running the P.A.C.E. program since 1996 and has assisted
more than 50 young adults in their transition
from high school to the working world. Many of P.A.C.E. graduates
have gone on to further their education, find work in their own areas
of interest and become contributing members to the community.
